Celeb Hubbies Bring Sweetness to Another Level at The ABS-CBN Ball 2019

This year’s ABS-CBN Ball, held last September 14, at the grand ballroom of Shangri-La at the Fort in Bonifacio Global City, had celebrities in their best Filipiniana-inspired ensembles. For some, it’s a family affair with twinning outfits and a couple date-night as well. Aside from the glam gorgeous celebrity moms and wives, the husbands cleaned up nicely as well.

Some appreciation is all that women need, so it’s nice to know the men were perfectly fine being escorts and had only eyes — and praise — for their gorgeous wives. A little compliment goes a long way, especially when they put a lot of effort to look their best (thanks to their glam teams, too!). A round of applause for these celebrity husbands!

Ryan Agoncillo won the best caption for “taking home the queen,” Judy Ann Santos.

Ryan used the glam event to show everyone he’s lucky to share the red carpet with his one true love. He and Judy Ann decided to auction off her ball gowns and donate all proceeds to Bantay Bata. (Read more about Ryan’s #StoriesforLucho post and Judy Ann’s ball gown auction here.)

Ogie Alcasid had nothing but praise for his beautiful wife, Regine Velasquez.

He repeated how amazingly beautiful Regine is in no less than three posts. “Mam, ang ganda niyo po,” he wrote in one. “Ang ganda talaga ng date ko!” Ogie said. He had “a wonderful evening... escorting the most stunning woman of the night,” he wrote in another post.

Jericho Rosales and his stylish wife Kim Jones shared a sweet couple moment.

That side glance says it all. Jericho and Kim are easily one of the sweetest couples of the night. (Actually, they have been killing it in the fashion and sweetness department every year!)

Aljur Abrenica is proud of his very pregnant and blooming wife Kylie Padilla.

“The best looking girl last night at the ball and I’m proud to be her escort,” the soon-to-be dad of two wrote on Instagram. The two took the night off away from parenting duties to son Alas. It’s just a few more weeks until Aljur and Kylie welcome their second son, Baby AR.

Lee O’Brian gives his partner Pokwang the best-dressed award.

“Last night’s winner for best dressed (according to my count),” he wrote. Too bad their daughter Malia couldn’t stay for the night; she would have been the “icing on the cake” to their already beautiful couple photos. (More on cute moments off the red carpet here.)

Billi Crawford knows who’s “The Boss,” and it’s his wife, Colleen Garcia.

“The Mr. and the boss!” the musician actor captioned their photo. “Can I just say, dang I’m blessed to be with my super stunning wife!” he added. Billy and Colleen married in 2018 and spent their first wedding anniversary in Bali last April.

Richard Poon carried his wife Maricar Reyes’s essentials.

“Did you notice I had no clutch?” Maricar wrote on Instagram. It’s because her husband’s suit barong had pockets! Richard had not only his wife but also the entire ballroom swooning to his tunes.

Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati won “couple of the night” for a good reason.

Not only did Richard win the best-dressed award, he and fiancé Sarah were also awarded as “couple of the night.” He only has eyes for his “lovely lady” and future wife. We’re eagerly excited for the day they say “I do!”

Dr. Hayden Kho. Jr. had hubby and daddy duties with Dr. Vicki Belo and Scarlet Snow.

Hayden was twinning (tripling?) with his wife and daughter, too, for their very first official family affair at the ball.
