Ryan Agoncillo Wins Best Caption (and Many Hearts!) for ABS-CBN Ball Post on Judy AnnRyan and Judy Ann found a unique way to use their red carpet glam looks at the ABS-CBN Ball for the better.by Rachel Perez .
A big event is an opportunity to dress to impress and look their very best. But in the midst of glam photos and cutesy moments, there’s always a silver lining, a lesson to appreciate.
For the ABS-CBN Ball held last Saturday, September 14, 2019, Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos did both. The couple arrived in all-black ensembles — she in a black asymmetrical Filipiniana dress by Yong Davalos, and he in a black barong. In their own unique way, they made it a date to remember when they attended the annual event at the grand ballroom of Shangri-La at the Fort in Bonifacio Global City.
Ryan’s key takeaway for Lucho
The dad of three’s post about the event stood out from the rest of the stars who attended and shared photos and videos of the yearly ball. Ryan shared yet another nugget of wisdom for his son Lucho, using the #StoriesforLucho hashtag.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
“Forget about prom king bud, what really matters is you take home the queen,” Ryan wrote as a caption for snapshots of him and his wife acing it on the red carpet. Through his caption, Ryan was letting Judy Ann take the spotlight, emphasizing that the best ‘award’ is marrying the love of his life.
Bianca Gonzalez Intal had dubbed him the “caption king” as Iya Villania Arellano and Angelica Panganiban loved his wise words for Lucho, too. “Kuya Ryan! Mahal na mahal ko kayo ng misis mo,” wrote Angelica.
If Judy Ann is his queen, that makes Ryan her king. The feeling is mutual, as proven by Judy Ann’s “favorite part of the night” post on Instagram. The actress shared on Instagram photos of her and her husband having conversations over wine, and even sharing a kiss.
It’s not the first time Ryan wrote about his love for Judy Ann (remember that kilig story on how he knew Judy Ann is the one here). The dad of three has been using Instagram as a way to share life lessons with son Lucho, hence the hashtag #StoriesforLucho. Judy Ann’s gown auction for charity
The award-winning actress decided to auction off the Yong Davalos black dress she wore at last Saturday’s Ball and the Oscar De La Renta emerald gown she wore last year. All proceeds are for the benefit of Bantay Bata Foundation, a social welfare program of the ABS-CBN Foundation. It’s also her and Ryan’s way of paying tribute to its founder, Gina Lopez, who passed away last month, August 2019.
“That would be our little gesture of appreciation and support to Bantay Bata, and of course, for Ms. Gina Lopez,” Judy Ann announced via a video she shared on Instagram. “Ito po ay para sa kanya, ito po ay inihahandog naming mag-asawa para sa Bantay Bata, para makatulong kami in our own little way,” she added.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
The black Yong Davalos gown’s starting price for the auction is P20,000, while the emerald Oscar De La Renta gown’s auction cost will start at P50,000. “All proceeds will go to Bantay Bata,” Judy Ann said. Stay tuned for announcements as to when the auction will be and how to bid.
