Tips when traveling with infants and toddlers
With COVID-19 restrictions starting to loosen up, revenge travel is on sight! If you're planning to travel with your baby or toddler soon, here are some honest-to-goodness tips we picked up from mommy Vikki Dianne Masaquel, a member of our online community Smart Parenting Village.
1. 'Pack light' is a myth
Vikki says don't bother attempting to pack light. As a parent, you need to anticipate every possible scenario, so bring as many extra clothes, wipes, bottles as you can!
2. Keep itinerary open
Be prepared to take detours since kids' moods are unpredictable. This will also lessen the chances of being disappointed during the trip.
3. Choose your accommodation wisely
When choosing where to stay, consider a place that's not only near to the tourist sites but also near to grocery areas, pharmacies, and other emergency locations.
"At the end of the day, I realized, it's no longer about me, my itineraries, the foods I want to eat, the places I want to see. It's about her. The new experiences she will gain, the new things she will discover, and the moments we will make as a family," Vikki shares. (Read more of her travel tips here)
