Practical tips for Visita Iglesia with kids

Prepare: Make sure to explain the significance of Visita Iglesia and the Holy Week to your children beforehand to set their expectations.

Plan your visits: Choose the best time to go, you can opt to time your visit when it’s not too hot or crowded. Consider your child’s daily routine or schedule (nap time, snack time, etc) and tolerance levels as well. Try to include any lunch/snack or comfort room stops in your route.

Pack your necessities: Ensure to bring all your family’s necessities for the day. Consider bringing drinking water, snacks, fans or rechargeable fans, and favorite toy or activity book.

Engage your kids: Encourage them to participate in prayers and songs, or consider letting them use a camera so they can take photos of the church architecture and other sights during your visit. You can also consider reading the markers or visiting other historical sites in some of the historical churches.

Safety first: Always keep a close eye on your children at all times, and consider assigning a designated meet-up point in all your stops in case anyone gets lost.
