Tokyo DisneySea is Getting Frozen and Tangled Attractions in June

With the success of the world's first Frozen-themed land, a.k.a. Hong Kong Disneyland's World of Frozen, more Disney Parks are eager to include a nod to the famous franchise. Case in point: We reported in August that Tokyo DisneySea is launching Fantasy Springs in 2024. This new port of call for the sea-themed Disney park will feature spaces dedicated to not only Frozen but also Peter Pan and Tangled. Today, as we near the start of 2024, Tokyo DisneySea just announced that the new port is opening sooner than we thought. Hold on to your Mickey ears, gang. Fantasy Springs is opening on June 6, 2024.

Here are the updates to Tokyo DisneySea's Fantasy Springs:

Tokyo DisneySea confirmed the opening date in a post on their Instagram account. Translated to English, the post reads, "Only six months left until June 6, 2024, the grand opening of #FantasySprings, the 8th new themed port at Tokyo DisneySea! A video of Elsa's ice palace being installed and comments from Jennifer Lee, director/screenwriter of the movie Frozen."

According to Lee, she was able to get a sneak peek into the area and got to see the latest developments at Frozen Kingdom. "I was inspired and amazed with Frozen Kingdom. It's like you're stepping right into the movie into breathtaking Arendelle and immersing yourself in your favorite Frozen moments, " says Lee.

Accompanying the post are updated videos showing the construction at the Frozen side of Tokyo DisneySea's 8th port of call, Fantasy Springs. 

Last time we reported about Tokyo DisneySea's new spot, only renders of what the area would look like were available, but now, the attraction is slowly taking shape, as we can see from the construction updates posted.
