Mom Regrets Buying Baby Monitor After 'Possessed Baby' Is Caught On Cam

Baby monitors are extremely helpful especially for working parents who want to keep an eye on their little ones while they are away. When you’re already home and baby is sleeping in another room, it also provides comfort because you can see exactly what’s going on.

But one mom had the misfortune of seeing something strange and unexpected when she went to check in on her son — it was as if the little boy had turned into a creepy doll when viewed from the VTech baby monitor they bought.

“We got a new video baby monitor and I think that was a mistake,” wrote mom Elle Bannister in a tweet that has now gone viral. In the accompanying photo, her baby, Finn, was lying in his crib, but his eyes were wide open and glowing with a blue light that made him look like he was possessed.

Elle found the whole thing hilarious but did not expect that the tweet will blow up. “When I first started it up [the baby monitor] and saw that Finn was just silently staring at the camera like something from a low-budget horror movie I absolutely lost it laughing,” Elle told Today in an interview.

She adds, “It was hilariously creepy. I initially took the picture to share with a group chat of friends. I had no idea it would go this far!”

Elle was so amused that she even tweeted a close-up version of her baby. You know, so we can all have nightmares tonight. LOL.

As of this writing, the viral photo has over 412,000 likes and 87,600 responses on Twitter. Even funnier — fellow parents shared similar photos of their own “demonic” babies.

“Yeah, it’s a common thing on these cameras apparently,” wrote another parent. “My daughter was lying upside down, which made it even more creepy.”

Another parent shared a video of her child looking at a baby monitor with dark eyes. “No I’m pretty sure this is worse,” she wrote in the caption.

But our favorite was a photo of a sleeping baby with one arm up and glowing eyes with her mouth wide open. “Where can I find a priest at 3 a.m.?” The parent wrote jokingly.

Last month, a similar photo went viral when a mom freaked out and thought her child was sleeping with a “ghost baby.” It turned out to be a photo of a baby on her son’s mattress, which her husband forgot to cover with a mattress protector.
