Are you tired of hearing “I am bored” from your kids this summer vacation? It’s not even 10 AM, and we’ve already heard it several times!
Help them beat the boredom by enrolling in summer classes.
Smart Parenting has listed different summer classes that parents and kids can choose from. These include cooking and baking classes, a public speaking camp, a barista workshop, and voice and dance classes. Kids can learn new skills, make new friends, and spend their summer days in a fun and memorable way. As a bonus, they’ll also get some time away from their screens and gadgets.
This might even be the start of a new hobby.

Dates: May 23, 25, 26, 2026 (three-day workshop)
Time: 8 AM to 12 NN
Rate: P15,00 (5% off for members of the Ateneo community, 2.5% off for PWDs)
Inclusions: All ingredients, recipe handouts, apron, graduation ceremony, and certificate of completion
Other information: This class is open to kids ages 7 to 12. Participants will learn how to mix, bake, and create delicious sweets from scratch through a hands-on workshop. No previous baking experience is welcome. Annalisa Mariano, Program Director of BS Restaurant Entrepreneurship at Ateneo de Manila University, will serve as the Specialist Guest Chef.
Young Chefs Boot Camp
CCA Manila
Location: Open to both Quezon City and BGC Campus
Dates: May 19 to 22, 2026 (four consecutive sessions, four hours each)
Time: 1 PM to 5 PM
Rate: P12,500
Inclusions: Ingredients for recipes, disposable uniforms, use of kitchen tools and equipment, recipes and lecture handouts, finished products from the class, certificate of completion, and graduation ceremony.
Other information: This boot camp is open to kids ages 7 to 12. Lessons include kitchen safety and food sanitation, fractions and creativity, cooking vocabulary, measuring ingredients, and basic baking principles.

Other information: The class syllabus is designed to provide students with a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience while helping them learn basic cooking skills in a guided way. Students enrolled for three or more days will receive a CACS apron and a certificate of completion. For students enrolled for 2 days or less, a regular apron will be provided.
