Mom Reminds Parents To Take Their Time With Their Kids

A heartfelt post entitled "Take your time" by a mom on embracing our season as parents has been making the rounds on social media. Dorcas Brion, a 39-year-old mom from Negros Occidental, is the woman behind the Facebook page "Bibong Pinay."

In an interview with Smart Parenting, the mompreneur and coach shared that she wrote this post a couple of years ago, "I remember pinapatulog ko yung dalawang anak ko nung sinusulat ko ito on my phone."

Her post, accompanied by beautiful AI-generated illustrations, is sure to touch any parent's heart. It has now over 67,000 shares as of writing.

"I am happy that I get to inspire and awaken something from them. I know naman na walang magulang ang di nagmamahal sa anak pero to be an intentional parent? Hard work and heart work talaga siya. But at the end of the day its all worth it."

She has an advice to parents who can relate to her post, "There are two things in life that we can't afford to fail. Mag-fail na tayo sa ibang bagay like work or career, pero wag lang sa dalawang ito — marriage and parenting. Our seasons as parents will soon pass, let us savor it while we can."

She adds, "One day, we will all let them go. We don’t want for that day to come na punong-puno tayo ng regrets. Masarap mag-look back knowing that we’ve done our best to be intentional parents."
