In 2021, Joel Regal’s fatherhood journey began with a twist of fate. His wife, April Regal, died in childbirth, leaving him with insurmountable grief and their three daughters.

Amid his heartbreak, Joel wore the hat of a father and asked the public for help, “Kelangan po namin ng breastmilk donation para sa triplets.” He would pick up breast milk donations for months, loading them in a cooler at the back of his motorcycle.

His story quickly spread throughout social media and local news, with a local television network depicting their life story.

Four years later, Joel Regal’s story became viral again. But this time, it's a heartwarming story about the triplets. He said in his Facebook post, “Yung mga batang hinihingian ko lang ng mga breastmilk noon, estudyante na din ngayon.

The Regal triplets will start school this year, proudly wearing their uniforms. They have identical bags and shoes as well. Joel also said in the comment section, “Kamusta din kaya yung mga baby ng mga hinihingian ko ng breastmilk noon?

He even joked, “Ready na sila mag-school, eh yung magiging teacher kaya nila ready na din kaya makilala sila?”

Jaswhi Adaliah, Jayce Aliyah, and Jia Aamari, all four years old, are often caught dancing, singing, and playing in Joel's videos. They seem to like the Sanrio character Kuromi and like donning identical Kuromi shirts and clothes.

A Single Tatay

Smart Parenting reached out to Joel to learn how he’s balancing work and fatherhood today.

Joel continues to work to provide for his daughters’ needs.

Joel gives credit and gratitude to his in-laws. He can confidently work because he is sure the triplets are well cared for.

As he was still grieving for his wife, he needed to be strong for his daughters, too. He became his daughters’ pillar, their ‘Padre de Pamilya.’

His Facebook post about the triplets’ schooling was a life update and a testament to how they overcame the most challenging time in their lives.

Joel’s journey—from a viral plea for breastmilk to the proud father waving goodbye to three uniformed students—reminds us that strength often comes from vulnerability, and that our communities can lift us when we dare to ask.
