Jolina Magdangal is sharing intimate details about her second pregnancy, which she and husband Mark Escueta announced will be a baby sister for their son, Pele Iñigo.
It took the couple a while to finally get pregnant again. The TV host, who is 26 weeks along, has been documenting and sharing her journey via her YouTube channel, Jolina Network. Recently, she posted a video of her taking necessary preggo tests: a blood test to check for gestational diabetes and a congenital anomaly ultrasound scan.

"Maganda na malaman natin kung ano ang sugar natin habang buntis," Jolina said. "Pag nagkaron ka ng gestational diabetes, 'pag hindi yun naagapan at hindi nagawan ng paraan, pwede syang mag-stay... So may diabetes ka na kahit hindi ka na buntis," she cautioned.
Jolina gave her viewers a walkthrough of her blood test for her glucose levels. To prepare for the test, she needed to fast (no food or fluid intake except for water) for eight to 12 hours before the first blood extraction.
After the first blood extraction, Jolina drank a super sweet glucose solution (she had to finish it within five minutes!). Then, the actress rested while waiting for the next two blood extractions, which were done at one-hour intervals. She was only allowed to eat again two hours after the third blood extraction.
During the congenital anomaly scan, a 2D or 3D ultrasound, Jolina, Mark, and Pele saw the baby girl who would be joining them soon. "Ang saya, saya, kasi very healthy tsaka kumpleto siya...Andun yung favorite kong baba at ang tangos ng ilong," the soon-to-be mom of two happily shared.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

After getting positive results from her preggy tests, Jolina was thankful. "Sa totoo lang hindi talga naging madali itong pagbubuntis na ito," she shared, adding that she had an easier pregnancy with Pele. She revealed she is still experiencing morning sickness, pain in her right leg, which makes walking difficult, and even spotting.
It's typical for a pregnant woman to worry, but the TV host says she's coping with prayers. "'Wag natin talagang balewalain ang power ng dasal," Jolina said. "Lahat ay ibibigay Niya sa atin kung para sa atin. Kung hindi man, hindi Niya tayo pababayan sa lahat ng pagdaraanan natin," she added.
Towards the end of the video, Jolina revealed their chosen name for their baby girl: Vika Anaya. Vika, from the Indian name Jivika, means "source of life. Anaya, on the other hand, is a Hebrew name that means "God answers."
"Bagay na bagay talaga dahil lahat ng prayers namin ay nasagot," Jolina said.CONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
