Every pregnancy is different. Coleen Garcia is one of the lucky women who’s having a relatively easy pregnancy. In less than a month, she and her husband, Billy Crawford, will welcome their first child, a baby boy. Currently, the soon-to-be parents are spending the weekend in The Farm at San Benito for their babymoon.
Smart Parenting had a quick chat with the soon-to-be first-time mama about her pregnancy in July. Thankfully, everything is going as smoothly as possible despite the pandemic. She’s just home mostly playing video games, not stressing, and only going out for checkups at the doctors’ clinic (not in a hospital).

Preparing for birth, Coleen revealed she’s considering giving birth in a birthing center so she can have Billy with her as they welcome their son. Besides preparing herself mentally, she’s been doing light exercises at home and has started taking online Pilates training classes.
Coleen also wants an all-natural birth — no epidural or any pain medication. “I want to be able to try, at least, to do it without themed and epidural and everything,” Coleen said. “But bahala na talaga si God kung saan pupunta because you’ll never know,” added.
Even before she got pregnant, Coleen has just been used to doing things the natural way. Perhaps, proof of that was when she had an adverse reaction to synthetic prenatal vitamins prescribed to her early in her pregnancy. She thought it was morning sickness.
