When entrepreneur Divine Lee decided to settle down with businessman Blake Go, she knew it was the next step she wanted to take.
"I was ready. I got married really late. 35 na ako nun. I was excited to start my own family. I think I overstayed my single years, and I really, really enjoyed it as much as I can," she told SmartParenting.com.ph.
So excited was she and Blake to have kids that they couldn't anymore wait for their church wedding to begin planning one. After getting married in civil rites in May 2017, they started creating embryos from the eggs she had frozen a decade before. (Divine tells us her egg freezing and IVF story here.)
Nine months later — and with two nurseries almost complete — she was eager to pop. But the baby just wasn't ready to go out yet. "Gusto ko nang manganak!" Divine exclaims.
In the video below, Divine takes us through her paglilihi, her preparations for labor day (that involved booking a make-up artist and photographers), and running five kilometers and going up 30 flights of stairs in her seemingly endless wait for her firstborn, Baz.
