Australian Brand Anko Opens First Philippine Store In Makati City

Australian lifestyle brand Anko is opening a physical store in Makati City this November, ahead of the holiday rush in the country with the longest Christmas celebration. 

This November 7, Kmart Australia's Anko will open its doors on the ground floor of Glorietta 2 in Makati, hoping to attract Filipino market with its affordable products ranging from kids' toys and craft needs, home accessories, Christmas decor, and pet essentials. 

Anko Philippines Country Manager Rachel Turner said the company is hoping to meet the demand of Filipino families, as the Australian brand expands its global footprint. 

"Why not the Philippines? It’s a huge market obviously. From what we can see, people respond well to our products, culture similar to home, focused on family, home," she said in a product preview for Smart Parenting.

Anko has been in business for 50 years in Australia and New Zealand. Now, Filipino families can explore Anko's amazing selection of homeware, furniture, kitchen essentials, and children's toys.

While Anko products have previously been available online through local partners and resellers, the new store provides an immersive shopping experience that allows customers to directly try with the brand.
