With the recent controversial exit of Eat Bulaga! hosts, fans are disappointed and disheartened that there could have been a grand debut celebration for one of the noontime show's mainstays, Ryzza Mae Dizon.
Ryzza Mae, known as Aling Maliit, turned 18 on June 12. She joined Eat Bulaga! through Little Miss Philippines when she was six years old, and fans vividly remember the grand party that the show threw for her on her 7th birthday.
On June 12, Ryzza Mae celebrated her birthday with a photoshoot with TV5, which will be the new home of the former Eat Bulaga hosts.
"Ang aming bagong tahanan, TV5 Manila. Thank you Lord," Ryzza Mae wrote in one of her Instagram posts on June 7.
On June 1, Ryzza Mae was among the Eat Bulaga hosts who signed a resignation letter addressed to Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc.
Ryzza Mae also shared photos from her 12 years of working with Eat Bulaga, expressing her gratitude to the show. "Maraming salamat po, @eatbulaga1979 TVJ sa pag-tupad ng mga pangarap ko. Hanggang sa muli," she wrote.
Her co-hosts Vic Sotto and Jose Manalo meanwhile greeted her via video call to celebrate her special day.

On May 18, Ryzza Mae shared an old photo expressing her anticipation of turning 18. "My reaction nung nalaman ko na 24 days na lang pala mag-18 na 'ko."
Ryzza successfully finished Grade 10 last May 12.

Nevertheless, there are other ways to celebrate a milestone birthday. Ryzza Mae is currently in Hong Kong with her mom Rizza and her two siblings, Nicole and Ken.

Her mom greeted her on Instagram, saying, "Happy 18th birthday anak, dalaga ka na talaga. Lagi mo tatandaan na andito lang si mama palagi sa tabi mo. Wag mo kakalimutan magpasalamat palagi kay Lord. Mahal na mahal kita beh. God bless you more be. Love you beh."
In a traditional 18th birthday celebration, the debutante usually wears a beautiful gown and is accompanied by an entourage. The celebration often includes a program with various segments such as a grand entrance, 18 roses (where she dances with 18 male guests), 18 candles (where 18 important people in her life give speeches or dedications), and a special dance with her father.
