Low-Budget Gender Reveal Via Toilet Flush? This Dad's Idea Is Like Nothing We've Ever Seen

So we thought we've seen it all - the glamorous, well-coordinated gender reveal parties held by celebrity parents in the biggest party venues, and the minimalist, Instagrammable ones captured and turned into the cutest same-day edit videos uploaded on YouTube.

But we're wrong. When we saw a clip of the gender reveal video of Daddy Banong delos Angeles shared on a funny Instagram page, we realized we don't know anything about gender reveal parties at all!

In an exclusive interview with Smart Parenting, Daddy Banong from Binmaley, Pangasinan shared that he thought of doing a gender reveal party for his second child that's low-cost, yet original.

"Gender reveals don't have to be costly at all. It just needs to be something worth remembering for the whole family and friends who will witness it."

"Since I am a content creator, I've decided to do a unique gender reveal that’s cost-efficient and at the same time, a unique idea that no one has ever done. I've always wanted to do things in a special way that can showcase my humor. So I did a gender reveal in the toilet that suits all these criteria."

In the full video uploaded on his YouTube channel, he first asked his family members what they thought his baby's gender would be. He then showed where the gender reveal will take place: inside their toilet, with pink and blue balloons on the tiled floor.

"Kapag pinindot ko to, pag ang lumabas blue, team boy yan. Pero pag ang lumabas pink, team girl yan," he explained.

With everyone gathered inside, Daddy Banong counted, pressed the flush, and there's the reveal. 
"Kulay blue! It's a boy!" 

The 35-year-old dad said maintains, "Gender reveals don't have to be costly at all. Not all can afford it, so this is also the message that I want to impart to everyone. That we can all do this, not just for rich families but also families who are on a tight budget. It just needs to be something worth remembering for the whole family and friends who will witness it."

Even new mom Angelica Panganiban saw the video, and was amused. She tagged her fiance and said, "Next baby @gregghoman."

"It was surreal how people noticed the gender reveal for my son. It got more exciting when celebrities started noticing it too. I'm happy that everyone liked the concept of the gender reveal," Daddy Banong said.
