Judy Ann Felt Ryan Was The One Because 'He's Really After For My Own Good'

This Valentine's Day, we get to celebrate love and our pursuit of it. If you're looking for a source of kilig this love month, Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo and Ryan Agoncillo recently got candid about their relationship.

Both in the show business, Judy Ann and Ryan's road to forever began when they were first paired as a love team in the 2004 fantaserye 'Krystala.' But their connection was not instant. In an interview for Karen Davila's Youtube show, Ryan even admits that they were "an unlikely pair."

"Siya lagi 'yung may opinyon sakin na totoo pero hindi siya offensive...Kailangan ko 'yun eh."

So what made them drawn to each other? Ryan said, "Slowly, I would witness how she is around the set, how she is around people. That's how we became friends."

It was during their time in the friend zone that Judy Ann realized that Ryan is the one for her. "Along the way when we were friends na so, nag-uusap na kami about career, about life, about a lot of things siya lagi yung may opinyon sakin na totoo pero hindi siya offensive...Kailangan ko 'yun eh."

The actress turned restaurateur recalls how she admired Ryan's honesty and his sincerity to take part in her growth not just career-wise but also as a person. "May taong dumidepensa sakin, may taong who'd tell what's right or wrong. He's really after my own good...I needed that honesty," she shared.

Judy Ann also credited her husband for showing the world apart from the entertainment industry. "Because I don't know what life is eh, I've been working since I was 8.

"When Ryan came along, I saw na 'this is the life I'm missing. This is the life I want.'"

Can Judy Ann give forgiveness if Ryan cheats on her?

The reel to real-life couple is set to mark their 13th wedding anniversary this year. Throughout the years, Ryan said they have now learned "how to fight in a healthy way." But when asked the hypothetical question if she could forgive Ryan if he cheats on her, Judy Ann says "It's easy to say 'No' but if you're in that situation hindi mo siya agad-agad mapo-proseso eh."

For Judy Ann, it boils down to the fact that "whatever issues would come along the way...I can live with Ryan, but more is I cannot live without him, mas nandu'n ako."

For his part, Ryan also shares the sentiment of his wife. He says, "It's hard for us to function na hindi kami couple."

Judy Ann and Ryan is what many would picture as #RelationshipGoals. For the couple who is married for over a decade now, aside from communication, physical intimacy and having sex is an important aspect of their relationship. So, how they keep the flame alive? Judy Ann quipped, "'Pag tulog 'yung mga bata."'

But on a serious note, the mom of three says, "Probably for some women, they'll think, sex is just sex. Hindi eh...Connection siya eh.

"The real intimacy kapag kayo lang, you explore. Just that feeling ng rawness. You always look for that eh."
