Watch: Married Couples Share Secret To Staying In Love

Aside from how-tos on raising children, among the most popular discussions on our Facebook community, Smart Parenting Village, is about how couples can keep their love burning for each other even after having kids. Well, it does go without saying that good parenting also involves having a good relationship with your spouse, right?

So, what's the secret to a long-lasting marriage? How can couples stay in love? The reality is that no one actually knows. How lucky are we if there really is a step-by-step guide on how to make a marriage fail-proof! But sans that guide, we can always refer to others' experiences.

For love month,  Summit Media's influencer marketing agency, Clout+, sat down with two married couples to get the kilig going! Meet Mr. and Mrs. Rosie Domingo and Boom Domingo, and Victoria Dang and Ryu Dang.

For the first part of this real kilig series on their Youtube channel, Clout+ took the couples on a trip down memory lane. Both the Domingo and Dang couple recalled how their love stories started. (Watch here)

But for part two, the two pairs got honest (and emotional) about married life—the good, the bad, and everything in between.

Describing what married life is, Boom who's married to Rosie for 12 years, says, "Gaya ng alam ng lahat ng tao, ang married life, siyempre up and down. Minsan masaya, minsan hindi." Rosie agrees, likening it to a rollercoaster ride. Boom and Rosie have three kids together.

For Victoria and Ryu, who have been married for three years, "so far, married life is smooth." But when asked about the challenges they face as a couple, Victoria says they still need to work on their communication. She also cites their 14-year age gap.

By the middle of the video, both couples answer the burning question: How do you stay in love with your spouse? Working on trusting each other is the key for the Domingo couple. While the Dangs say it is being intentional in choosing to love your partner every day.
