As parents, we all know how elusive it is to have time for ourselves and with our partner.
It would take either a rigorous planning just to get all the schedules aligned, or sometimes the best option is to do it spontaneously.
However, we also know too well how nerve-wracking it is when our kids get sick.
Musician, podcaster, and mom of two Saab Magalona shared on July 16 that she and her husband Jim Bacarro were off for a quick romantic getaway to watch their favorite band abroad.
They were so close to having time their Just Us No Kids trip, but then, parent duty calls.
They had to "cancel the whole thing because of a text from home."
Their youngest son Vito had fever and a rash, so they chose to drop everything go home instead of pushing through with the trip.
"Love is returning to your kid with a fever and rash, nursing him back to health and thanking your stars that you weren’t on the plane yet," she said.
Thankfully, Vito is doing better, she mentioned.

They were supposed to watch a concert of American rock band "The Strokes," but they opted to cancel to be with Vito.
Despite their plans, she emphasized, "We’ll have our romantic getaway another time. Still, I’ve fallen deeper in love with my husband because of this."
Netizens applaud them, saying, Saab and Jim are "couple goals, parent goals, and beautiful human goals."
One user also said, "I really admire this couple. Grabe lang. kakaproud kayo as parents. Def you’ll have your next time together. Babies first."
In another post, Saab shared a video of Vito singing one of the songs of The Stroke entitled "Someday."
She said. "Since Jim and I were supposed to be watching The Strokes right now (see previous post), here’s something even better! We’ll see you SOMEDAY, @thestrokes… get it???"

Our babies come first, but hopefully, someday, we'll have our coveted time with our partner, because we need it too. It's a balancing act, but spending time with our spouse is important in strengthening relationships, according to Mom Junction.
Remember, the happiness and health of your family rely on the happiness and health of your relationship. So, every once in a while, find a babysitter for your kids and go out on a special date, just the two of you. Make time for each other and keep the love alive.
