Actress and business owner Neri Miranda recently celebrated her 40th birthday. She took to Instagram to share her life realizations and even promoted her first book, "Wais Na Misis."
The book, which documents her journey as a wise homemaker over the years, is now available for pre-order and will be sold in bookstores in October.
"Ano nga ba ang life realizations ko ngayong 40 yrs old na ako?" she wrote in a post on September 7.

1. Kill them with kindness
"Kailangan nating yakapin ang mga challenges sa ating buhay with kindness. Hindi madali lalo na kapag ikaw ang naagrabyado, be kind, no matter how others act," Neri said. She encourages people not to let negative experiences change their good hearts.
2. True wealth is beyond money
Together with her husband, Chito Miranda, Jr., the mom of three has been managing several businesses and owned properties all over the country. Despite these, she stressed, "Don't confuse money with true richness. 'Wag maging gahaman. Mayaman ka nga, marami ka namang kaaway. Hindi sukatan ang pera sa tunay na yaman. Baka mayaman ka nga sa mata ng iba, pero wala kang tunay na kaibigan."

3. Learn from your mistakes
"Sa bawat pagkakamali, may aral na kasama. Hindi na kailangan pang magsisi sa nakaraan. Ang mahalaga ay natuto ka," Neri added.
4. Choose your tribe.
"Be with good people, cherish real friends, and set boundaries," she stressed.
5. Be wais and madiskarte
Neri took the chance to promote her first book, and shared an excerpt about taking risks, "Hindi laging madali para sa akin, but when life threw me lemons, hindi ako nagtago. Kinolekta ko ang bawat isa at ginamit sa pinakamagandang paraan—naging lemonade, lemon pie, sabon, at pampabango."
She continued, "Ano ang sunod? Binenta ko sila lahat at pinatunayan ang aking kakayahan! Hindi ako nagpatalo. Hindi madali pero kinaya at kinakaya."

6. Put family at the core
What we are getting from Neri is the clear message that she doesn't let her businesses and properties define who she is. What makes her and what matters to her are her family and her faith. "Ngayong kwarenta na ako, sobrang grateful at walang hanggang pasasalamat ko kay Lord dahil may pamilya akong todo ang suporta at pagmamahal sa akin, at asawang palaging nandyan para sa akin, tagapagtanggol at tagasuporta sa akin."
"Maraming salamat, Lord, sa isa pang taon na puno ng pagmamahal. Sa bawat biyaya at pagsubok ng buhay, ang aming pananampalataya sa Inyo ang siyang nagiging ilaw at gabay namin," she concluded.
Message from Chito Miranda
Chito, meanwhile shared a heartfelt message, expressing his love and dedication for his wife. "40 ka na baby ko, at palagi kong sinasabi sa'yo na excited ako tumanda kasama mo. Pangako, you will always be my baby, at aalagaan kita ng todo-todo hanggang sa pagtanda."
Chito and Neri have three kids. When asked if they are planning to have another child, the Parokya Ni Edgar frontman has this to say, "Pass na. Gusto ko na ma-solo si Neri at dalhin siya sa iba't ibang lugar sa mundo."
