After gracing Smart Parenting's August 2022 cover, the Crawfords have since been in Paris, France for more than three months now. Billy Crawford became part of season 12 of the international dance competition Dancing With The Stars, where he and Fauve Hautot emerged as Grand Champion.
Since the end of August until now, Coleen Garcia has been sharing snaps of their life in Europe, which makes us all ask: are they staying in Paris for good?
In an interview with Dra. Vicki Belo on her YouTube channel, Billy and Coleen revealed how they, especially their 2-year-old son Amari, are loving their stay in Paris so far.
Billy, who still appears in various television shows back home in the Philippines, said he is focused on his promotions with Dancing With The Stars, and also has a new single coming out.
"We talked about it, and we'll always go where God takes us, so where the opportunities are at that specific moment."
Amari loves Paris
It seems like living in France is not an impossibility, according to Billy. "We love it here, Amari loves it here. For some reason, he really likes the cold weather, he likes the parks."
Coleen explained, "Nung una, naaawa ako sa kanya, kasi he's really different from all the kids here, you know na they grow up going to the park, and siya ngayon lang sya nakakapagpark."
Billy shared, it has been part of Amari's morning routine to take a walk.
"Paggising niya, he goes downstairs, eats a bit, plays a bit but as soon as he sees lolo, he points to the door kasi he wants to take a walk outside so he goes to the park, picks flowers."
Coleen revealed in her Instagram how Amari loves flowers a lot.
"One of Amari’s favorite things in the world: flowers! I don’t know why, but he is obsessed with them! They’re his comfort item, and sometimes his cause of distress if we’re not able to stop and pick them. Ang talas pa naman ng mata niya, cause he can spot them from very far away, even when we’re in a moving car. He just loves to hold them and stare closely at them. They could either help stop or start tantrums. I always have baon na tiny fake flowers in my bag to calm him down or distract him whenever he’s in a bad mood, and it works 99% of the time. He gives a new meaning to “stop and smell the roses.”
How has being a husband and dad changed Billy
Billy shared how being a family man has changed him, "It drove me more to try and to do well and just succeed in anything that I'm doing, especially since we got married, it's a joint thing, whatever I do, it's also considered as a family."
Billy admits, since he is focused on work, he sometimes doesn't have much time to spend with Amari. However, he shared how he makes the most of it by being present.
"Whenever I see him, I try to give as much time with him, play with him as much as I can."
He added, "My life obviously is driven by work, but my heart really is at home. My home is where my family is, so kung nandun si Amari, nandun si Coleen, whatever I do reflects on the family as well. Buhay ko sila eh."
Paris is indeed a good place for the Crawfords to live in, and Billy says it's all thanks to the blessings that are showered upon them. He said he's content and fulfilled with what he has.
"I'm so happy. My wife's here, my son's here, and the rest of the family is here. Plus, I'm doing what God has blessed me to do, the talent he's given me. Hopefully, it will be a testimony one of these days, so that I can say my life has been colorful but He's always been there to shine brighter than any color," Billy said.
As for Coleen, who is the most supportive wife, "We talked about it, and we'll always go where God takes us, so where the opportunities are at that specific moment."
