Assunta De Rossi Is Pregnant! It Happened Naturally Despite Myoma, EndometriosisAfter 18 years, Assunta De Rossi and husband Jules Ledesma are expecting their first child.by Rachel Perez .
Today, May 5, 2020, the 37-year-old Italian-Filipino actress announced that she's pregnant with her first child! After 18 years of being married Assunta de Rossi and former congressman Jules Ledesma, 59, has a bun in the oven.
"I know, shocking!" the soon-to-be mama wrote. "Getting pregnant the natural way with myoma and endometriosis (which I both have) is extremely difficult," Assunta revealed.
"Only medical intervention or a miracle can make it happen. This was a miracle!" Assunta exclaimed. She had been wanted to get pregnant before she turns 40.
Myoma or uterine fibroids are noncancerous growths that develop in the wall of the uterus. It can appear during childbearing years, and many women have myoma. However, it often goes undetected, as it usually has no symptoms. It doesn't usually get in the way of pregnancy.
Endometriosis, on the other hand, is a condition wherein the uterine lining (endometrium) grows outside the uterus, such as in the ovaries and fallopian tubes. "This has been my life even before quarantine started — just being in bed all day, feeling horrible," the expecting mom wrote during the wee hours of the mornings. She's now on her 14th week of pregnancy and is worried that she hasn't gained weight. "Everything I eat goes to my tummy and [breasts]," she quipped.
