Camille Prats, Angelica Panganiban's Reunion as Moms is Nostalgic

Actress and mom of four Camille Prats shared heartwarming photos with her childhood best friend and fellow former child actor, Angelica Panganiban. The two reunited after years of growing up and now, growing into motherhood.

In her Instagram post, Camille wrote, "The Becky to my Sarah, the Nikka to my Rosalie, and the Jelai to my Roni," referencing their iconic roles in well-loved projects they starred in, such as Sarah... Ang Munting Prinsesa (1995), Ang Pulubi at ang Prinsesa (1997), and G-Mik (1999).

"From childhood besties to raising little versions of ourselves—what a surreal and beautiful full-circle moment," she added. Camille is raising four children with her husband, VJ Yambao, namely Nathan, Ice, Nolan, and Nala. Angelica, on the other hand, is mom to two-year-old Amila Sabine, her daughter with Gregg Homan.

In the comments section, their fans reminisce their childhood days, and how their shows were part of it. One user said, "Ang isa sa dahilan bakit sumaya ang childhood and teenage life ko." Another one said, "Ito yung mga childhood bestfriends ko pero hindi nila alam!" Their G-Mik co-star Heart Evangelista was also delighted with their reunion.

Camille also expressed deep gratitude to Angelica for a friendship that has withstood the test of time. She also mentioned that aside from catching up with her long-time friend, she is looking forward to witness the launch of Angelica's upcoming theater performance. 

Angelica Panganiban to star in first theater play

On May 17, Angelica announced on Instagram about her debut as a theater actress, saying, "Isang uportunidad na hindi ko akalaing darating sa buhay ko. Sana, buong puso ninyo kong tanggapin at bigyan ng pagkakataon sa entablado."

Angelica is set to star in Don't Meow for Me, Catriona, alongside Peewee O'hara. Written by Ryan Machado and directed by Toni Go-Yadao, the play will run from June 11 to 29 at the Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez of the Cultural Center of the Philippines in Pasay City. It is part of the Virgin Labfest 2025 lineup.

In the production, Angelica plays Phoebe, a devoted daughter caring for her elderly mother during the pandemic. Set in a nearly empty bus terminal in Cubao, the two wait for a bus to Bicol. As time passes, they are forced to confront old wounds, unspoken regrets, and the complicated weight of familial love.

Angelica's return to acting follows a hip surgery she underwent last year, which enabled her to resume her career. In October 2023, she and her family graced the cover of Smart Parenting, where she opened up about her breastfeeding journey with her daughter. "Lagi mong uunahin 'yung sarili mo dahil hindi ka magiging mabuting parent or partner kung hindi ka talaga maayos na maayos," Angelica said about prioritizing self-care.

Camille was also a Smart Parenting cover mom, featured in October 2022. Just recently, she joined the Smart Parenting Mother's Day Fair on May 12, where she spoke about how motherhood has transformed her: "When I was single, it's all about yourself. And I realized there's really not much joy in that, like I had all the time in the world, wala kang iniiintindi, puro sarili mo lang. But by having children, it somehow encourages you to be selfless."
