In a heartwarming Instagram post, actress and mother of five, Kristine Hermosa-Sotto announced that she is expecting her sixth child. Accompanied by an ultrasound image and a snapshot featuring her husband, Oyo Sotto, Kristine’s caption resonated with a profound sense of trust in God’s divine plan.
“I have never doubted God’s power and faithfulness in my life,” Kristine expressed. “I may at times feel discouraged but I always have a strong sense of security that only God gives – I know He’s got our backs all the time.”
She also candidly admitted, “To be honest, I was hopeful but never really expected He would bless us with children…like…lots of them and another one on the way.”
“Funny as it may seem, but I still get those butterflies every time I see double lines on the PT, kahit pa na ang dami na nila, parang laging 1st time…iba’t ibang level ng overwhelming emotions each stage of every pregnancy. Ibang level din when you can already see and hear the heartbeat,” Kristine added.
“One thing’s for certain, we really cannot limit God’s power…even how impossible it may seem – God’s plans will always come into completion whether we like it or not. Akala ko noon, last na si Isaac…ngayon, hindi ko na talaga alam kay God."

Kristine on being a mom of 5 kids
The 40-year-old actress previously spoke to Smart Parenting Editor-at-Large Rica Peralejo on having a big family. She jokes at the time, “Alam mo, sa totoo, hindi na rin ako maka-keep up. Hindi ko talaga alam kung anong nangyayari.”
She added, “One of my fears is that I won’t be good enough for them, and I’ve accepted na I cannot always be a super mom. Tao lang tayo.
“Pero everytime na na-feel ko, o na-feel namin ni Oyo na, ‘Paano na yung mga bata, syempre iba-iba sila ng personalities, kung baga, paano natin ito palalakihin isa-isa.’ We always counter it with the Word of God. Kasi wala ka nang magagawa, all you can do is just do your part and bahala na si Lord.”
Kristine also admitted that, “I think having kids will make you think and understand how you are not in control. You can do certain things but not everything is sure. You’re trying out things, you’re doing your best, but actually you have to wait a few more years to see."
Kristine and Oyo got married in January 2011 and have since welcomed five children into their family–Kiel, Ondrea Bliss, Kaleb Hanns, Marvic Valentin, Vittorio Isaac, and now, eagerly anticipating the arrival of their sixth bundle of joy.
