Fashion and travel vlogger Laureen Uy shares a touching holiday post on Instagram that reads, “This Christmas, we hold the weight of our grief and the warmth of our gratitude together.”

She inspires her followers by saying that joy and grace can also be found while mourning. She writes, “Though we mourn, we also find solace in the love we carry and the moments of joy that still grace our lives. Slowly learning that grief and gratitude can indeed coexist.”

She adds, “We trust in God’s plan and the hope and love that this holiday season brings. In this season of giving, we remember that even in loss, love endures.”

“We love you Miles and we miss you everyday,” Laureen concludes.

Her sister, fashion stylist Liz Uy was first to comment, “I love you all (red heart emojis).”

On October 26 of this year, Laureen shared pregnancy news on Instagram, “Can’t wait to be a family of 3 (red heart emoji).” The said Instagram post revealed the ultrasound of her first child with husband Miggy Cruz. Laureen would later show off her baby bump and seal the news with a sweet kiss from Miggy.

Sadly, early this month, Laureen posted about the loss of her unborn child through a letter addressed to her baby whom she named, ‘Miles.’

In the said letter, she wrote, “The day we learned your heart had stopped beating was the day ours shattered. It was the worst day of my life. I didn’t want to let you go—my body didn’t want to let you go.”

She concluded her letter by saying that she’ll miss her forever and that she’s grateful that she and Miggy have been her parents even for a short period of time.
