Sarah Lahbati Reflects On Contentment And Independence On Her 31st

“I’ve come to realize that I don’t need anyone but myself, and that no one can save me but me. This independence isn’t a burden; it’s a liberation.”

These are the words from Lumuhod ka sa Lupa star and celebrity mom, Sarah Lahbati, who took her birthday musings to her broadcast channel on Monday, October 14. On her 31st birthday, she wrote her personal reflections on independence and contentment. She began by writing, “How beautiful it is to feel contentment from such a pure, simple, and real space. As I turn 31, I’m overwhelmed by a sweetness that flows from within.”

She also recognized the people who have been with her through ups and downs and amidst her life's self-reliance phase. “My heart fills with gratitude for the few real friends I’ve made, friends who have stood by me through my lowest lows and my most beautiful highs. You are treasures in my life, and your presence is a gift I cherish,” she wrote.

On a separate Instagram post, Sarah’s celebrity friend Sofia Andres surprised her with a birthday gift and wrote, “Happy Birthday to this beautiful soul. Again, I know we’re not sisters by blood but by heart. Your loyalty means the world to me & I love you mucho. You know the rest!”

Meanwhile, her birthday post captioned with a cake emoji garnered a lot of birthday greetings from celebrities, friends, and fans alike.

In the said broadcast, Sarah also mentioned her sons, who give her life meaning and motivation, including how the joy of being in the waters impacts their bond. She penned, “Being the mom of Zion and Kai fills my days with purpose and joy. We’ve carved out our paradise in the embrace of the ocean, a sanctuary we always return to. It’s in those waves that we find solace, no matter if life is soaring or crashing around us. The ocean is our constant, a reminder that in the ebb and flow of life, we can always find our way back to peace.”

“I feel thankful—and proud—that I’ve shed the need to please anyone but myself. This inner peace, this sense of self-worth, is more valuable than anything the world has to offer. My life, my family, my friends—they are my world, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” Sarah added.

She ended her post by extending her gratitude to all those who have expressed their birthday greetings. “Thank you for the wonderful and sweet birthday greetings. They truly don’t go unnoticed. Here’s to embracing the realness of life, to love, and to all the beautiful moments yet to come. With all my heart, merci. (white heart emoji),” she concluded.

Sarah confirmed being single March of this year. She married Kapamilya actor Richard Gutierrez in March 2020.
