1. Sunshine Dizon more than ready to face husband’s alleged mistress

Speaking to reporters before the scheduled second hearing, the mom-of-two said she’s more than ready to meet Clarissa Sison, the woman Sunshine alleges as the third party in her marriage to Timothy Tan. “I don’t know if she will have the guts to show her face,” Sunshine added. A gag order issued by the court has prohibited both parties to publicly talk about the cases she has filed against her husband. However, Sunshine has a message to women who may be going through a similar situation. She says the Women’s Help Desk of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) can help women who may not have the means to pursue a case against their husband. “There’s always a way. 2. Scarlet Snow is a fitspiration!

Scarlet Snow certainly knows what to do with weights, most likely from what she sees from her dad Hayden Kho, and even has her own mantra: "Up, down!" The 2-year-old paid no heed on how heavy the weights were, and even carried one and moved it to the coffee table. Obviously, her parents are already exposing her to the concept of fitness and wellnes at a young age. “I don't eat pork, beef, or chicken. Just fish, fruits, and vegetables, especially cherry tomatoes. And now I'm doing heavier weights, higher reps, and more sets when I work out. I'm stronger!” the caption read. 3. Proposed Samboy Lim Bill now a law
Profesional basketball coach and former Pampanga Representative Yeng Guiao announced that his proposed bill, named in honor of former pro baller Samboy Lim, is now a law. The Samboy Lim Bill is now officially called Republic Act No. 10871 or The Basic Life Support Training in Schools Act. The new law mandates that “all public and private basic education schools operating nationwide will provide their students with basic life support training through the use of psychomotor training in an age-appropriate manner.” Guiao says the new graduates of the K-12 system will know how to administer CPR and get training on how to react to emergencies and save lives. It can be recalled that Lim collapsed in November 2014 before an exhibition game due to cardiac arrest. He was unconscious for 23 minutes before he received CPR. (inquirer.com)

3. DILG promises 911 and 8888 calls will be free
In the wake of Globe Telecom’s announcement that it will charge 911 and 8888 calls an additional P5, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) assured citizens that these calls will soon be free of charge. The DILG has started drafting the Executive Order that will make the hotline calls free with the government shouldering the expenses for the calls. As of now, the existing free-of-charge 117 emergency call system will be continued. The transition to 911 calls will need the Executive Order to implement rules and regulations. Smart and PLDT said they are willing to make the 911 and 8888 calls free until a memorandum of agreement is signed between the government and telecom companies. Penalties for prank calls are also seriously being studied, given that 10 percent of the calls 117 hotline were pranks. (gmanetwork.com)

5. Daria is coming back on air

MTV is riding on the wave of nostalgia. The iconic but underrated MTV cartoon series about the life of Daria Morgendorffer is headed to a new channel called MTV Classic. Daria tells the high school adventures of a a smart, no-nonsense talker, acerbic, and socially awkward teenage girl who observes the world around her. The show is a satire of high school life, and full of allusions to and criticisms of popular culture and social classes. The new channel, formerly known as VH1 Classic, will feature the glory days of music programming, something that the ‘90s kids, who are probably a parent now, will appreciate. (refinery29.com)
