Gregg Homan Predicted He Would Be The First To Cry At Their Wedding, “Naiisip Ko Palang Naiiyak Na Ako”

“Me!” Gregg Homan confidently answers, "Who will cry first on your wedding day?” during Smart Parenting’s cover shoot in October 2022. “Naiisip ko palang, naiiyak na ako eh, he followed up his answer. We can’t tell if his prediction came true, but what is apparent from Angelica Panganiban’s Instagram post-slash-announcement, is that many happy tears were shed during their wedding day. The two were wed on December 31, 2023, in California.

Gregg also said he’s better at changing diapers than Angelica, but she’s the one who packs the baby bag. “She’s the packer,” Gregg says. “I’m the packer!” Angelica jests. “I’m the mother packer!” she proudly announces, sending the entire cover shoot crew into laughter.

The Homans, as they call themselves on their YouTube channel, came to the Smart Parenting cover shoot sans a staff. Their family of three took care of driving themselves to the shoot, keeping Bean entertained while mom Angelica was in the makeup chair–Gregg was on baby duty–plus feeding and diaper changes. No extra hands needed, just mom and dad.

Just like their low-key California wedding which was followed by burgers at In-N-Out and karaoke based on Angelica’s Instagram post and stories, the Homans’ family life is also free of frills. Angelica usually stays home with their daughter Amila Sabine while Gregg goes off to work, and that is why she calls herself the “clingy” one between the two of them. When Gregg arrives home and senses Angelica might need a break he gets one-on-one time with their daughter. “I’ll take the baby from her. Let her have some quiet time, he said.

Gregg also takes care of their family’s finances, “but I run things by her,” he said. “‘Di ko na kaya mag-mathematician,” Angelica said, due to her mommy mental load.

In October 2022, Gregg said he is most likely to want another baby sooner than Angelica. He quickly offered “Me!” before the interviewer could finish asking “Who wants more children?” Angelica retorted, “Hindi pa tapos eh!” During the time of the interview, Gregg said he’s been wanting another child, even before Bean's first birthday.

Angelica and Gregg have found their footing as new parents perhaps because as the groom put it, while parenting is not an easy endeavor, one gets better at it through time. “Hang on. It gets easier,” Gregg said of his advice for new parents. “When people tell you it gets easier, it doesn’t. You just get stronger.”

“‘Yun ang pinaniniwalaan namin, it doesn’t get easier. You just get stronger. Just hang on,” said Angelica.
