  • Celebrities are often subjected to scrutiny and criticism, and it only gets harder the moment they become parents. It can feel at times that people have set a higher standard for celebrity parents, especially those who are willing to share snippets of their lives on social media. It can get easy to nitpick the way they raise their kids. Thankfully, celebrity moms and dads can keep their cool while still sharing helpful parenting wisdom to their fans.

In honor of Father’s Day, here are seven celebrity dads who strive to raise their children with love and kindness.

    Ryan Agoncillo

Having three kids can be overwhelming for any dad, but Ryan always tries his best to shower each one with parental love. On his Instagram account, he shares special moments with each of his children, even creating special hashtags for each one. Yohan is #dalagindingnasibuding, Lucho has #storiesforlucho, and the youngest, Luna, is #lunniebunny.

#StoriesForLucho, in particular, is where he shares life lessons for his only son. From being a role model, valuing hard work, cherishing your partner, and putting family first, Ryan looks like he has parenting down pat.

    Hayden Kho

Hayden and his wife, Vicki Belo, have always been vocal about how they discipline their daughter, Scarlet Snow. But Vicki is the first to admit her husband is quick to see every moment as a learning opportunity.

“He’s a wonderful teacher,” Vicki tells SmartParenting.com.ph. “So patient! He has more ideas and more creative ways to teach and to make learning fun.”

While he’s a disciplinarian, Hayden doesn’t forget the importance of spending time with his daughter. In one of Hayden’s sweetest Instagram photos of Scarlet Snow, Hayden writes, “There’s this girl who stole my heart, and she calls me ‘Daddy.’ Lucky me.” Aww!

    Dingdong Dantes

In 2018, Dingdong ended speculations that he was running for public office. He announced he was choosing to focus on his family instead, as Marian Rivera was pregnant with their second child at the time.

For this celebrity dad, being a father is “a realized dream,” and even though life as a celebrity can be demanding, the fact that he gets to come home to his daughter and son makes it all worth it. Check out the photo above where he says, “Kahit puyat galing sa trabaho, talaga namang tanggal ang pagod at antok ko nang gisingin ako nitong Intergalactic Space Model na ito (his daughter Zia).”

    Doug Kramer

Just like Ryan, raising three kids seem to be a walk in the park for the Kramers, especially for Doug, who goes all-out in supporting his kids' passions — whether it’s seeing their favorite Korean girl group or competing in swim meets.

No surprise that Doug is as hands-on when it comes to building his family’s dream house. “There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for my family,” he shares in an Instagram post. “[They are] our everything!”

    Alwyn Uytingco

While it may seem that his wife, Jennica Garcia, is more vocal about parenting, Alywn holds his own when it comes to caring for their two daughters. Like most dads, you can say he has a relaxed and practical mindset — he teaches Mori to be responsible by letting her do chores, take safe risks, and even learn resilience by letting his kids fall down and get back up again.

    Drew Arellano

Many see Drew as a “fun dad,” and it’s true — his Instagram is peppered with kulitan moments with his sons, Primo and Leon. But he also knows how to put on his parenting hat when needed. Remember when he ran through EDSA to catch his firstborn, Primo, and play with him before his bedtime?

Though wife Iya Villania says Drew is Primo’s constant playmate, she can always rely on him to take care of their sons when needed. From Drew’s Instagram account, we see the dad also makes time for storytelling, feeding Leon, and making sure his kids are the happiest in the world.

    Troy Montero

Troy got to experience being a dad all over again with the arrival of his daughter, Rocket, in December 2018, 10 years after Aubrey Miles gave birth to Hunter. “The first time I saw you, I cried,” he wrote on Instagram. “But when I saw your eyes, I knew that was it for me. I couldn’t stop staring at you. I’ll never let you down and I’ll never let you go.”

Six months later, and the dad is still over the moon. From snuggling her the moment he comes home, putting her to sleep and giving her a bath, Troy does his share of #daddyduties. He’s even up to date with her milestones!
