Mavy Legaspi’s Valentine’s Bouquet For Mom Carmina Villaroel Made Us Melt: 'You're Always First'

Kilig pa ba when your partner gives your flowers on Valentine’s Day? But what about when your only son gives you a big bouquet of flowers? 

Such was the kilig Carmina Villaroel shared on her Instagram for Valentine’s Day. We’re sure Zoren has something up his sleeve and he probably trained their son. But it’s Mavy’s Valentine’s efforts for his mom that first made it to the ‘gram. 

“Thank you Kuya @mavylegaspi. I know you’re tired from work. Been working every day but you still remembered to give me flowers when you got home from y our taping (2am), Carmina wrote in her caption.

The first post is a video of Mavy holding a large red and pink bouquet in a dimly lit room, presumably because it’s 2 AM but he still surprises his mom anyway. 

"Wow Kuya Mavy give me roses. Awww, so pretty! Thank you Kuya Mavy, you're so sweet naman!" Carmina can be heard saying in the video.

"Of course, you're always first," Mavy answers. And all boy moms hearts just melted.

Social media users could not help but point out why Mavy's getsure was admirable. 

"Sana all! Grabe ang anak mapagmahal sa ina yan ang tunay na lalaki. I'm crying! Wow good son" wrote one.

Another noticed how different Carmina's voice was in the video. "Cute ng voice pabebe mommy", replied a social media user.

How parents impact kids' understanding of love and respect

“Thank you for always making me feel special. Always the first. I love you son to the moon and back, she ends her caption. Perhaps Mavy always makes sure to give his mom a bouquet of flowers first before he gives on to his lady love. Take note, dads! Such a good move to teach your boys.

Previous Smart Parenting articles report that a child learns about love through their parents. A son learns from his father how women should be treated and respected based on how he treats his wife. 

Dads’ love for mom also impact daughters because this is the how they think they should be treated when they’re older. 

As this dad said, dads are role models. So when dads hold themselves to a high standard, it will trickle down to their children.
