A day after Mother's Day, former beauty queen and actress Maggie Wilson shared a video for her 11-year-old son, Connor.

In an Instagram reel that she produced, Maggie said she meant to post it yesterday, but it was painful to do so, since she is addressing her son whom she hasn't seen for almost a year now.

It was a heartfelt compilation of her and Connor's videos throughout the years, where she told her truth about her current situation after she and her estranged husband, Victor Consunji, separated in 2021 after 11 years of marriage.

The video brought celebrities and her followers to tears. Connor's videos growing up, coupled with Maggie's voice breaking throughout the video, spoke volumes about how she feels as a mom who she said is blocked from seeing her son. Therefore, we are sharing the full transcript of her letter to Connor here.

With hopes that the video reaches her son, she called on the public to "tell him he is loved, and if you can, show him this video."

Within the letter is also Maggie's message to parents, specifically mothers, to cherish their children while they stil can.

Maggie Wilson's letter to Connor on Mother's Day

"Hey, little man. It's been 131 days since we last spoke, and 305 since we last saw each other. I've tried phoning you and sending you messages countless times. It has been hard on me, but I know it's been harder on you.

I remember every word you said, your pain and how visibly upset you were about what was happening. You cried and cried. We cried together about how unfair everything was. You told me how scared you were about your dad hurting me that you wouldn't feel loved when your baby sister arrived, and that you wanted to live with me.

I asked you if your dad explained anything? And you said no. But you already knew. You are a wise, kind, intuitive, and empathetic young man. You are frightened, and feel uncertain about the future.

"I remember telling you that you needed to be strong, and prepare yourself for the situation that was about to arise. That is so heavy to ask of a child. But I know I have been nothing but honest with you."

We talked about the day that we would see each other again, you told me that every night you dream of waiting for me at the airport to see and hug me again, that you wished for me to be at your birthday. And I couldn't be there that day. And I am deeply sorry for that. I still need to understand why it had to come to this folly.

Things were challenging when your dad and I separated. But at least there was some form of communication.

I only wanted him to be happy because I couldn't give him that. I was simply not enough. It was a hard pill to swallow and a difficult decision. But I did so because I wanted you to see both of us happy. Even though we weren't together. I wanted you tosee what real happiness looks like. Sometimes I question myself, if that was selfish of me to do, I want you to know that I tried. I tried to fix things. I tried to hide my pain to still be there for you.

"I will always be here for you. No matter how far away it may seem, waiting for you. Till then, remember these moments."

Wowa Sonia and Tita Beth shielded you from it, because that problem was only meant for me and your dad to deal with as adults.

I remember telling you that you needed to be strong, and prepare yourself for the situation that was about to arise. That is so heavy to ask of a child. But I know I have been nothing but honest with you.

Not a minute goes by that I don't think of you or have the same dreams as you. I send you so much love every night before bed, my Bubba. Every day. I'm not with you. My heartbreaks a little. Every day I furiously try to hang on to continue the good fight. Every day I pray for you and your safety.

I have loved you since the day I found out about you. I carried you, grew you and gave birth to you. I am not perfect. No one is.

One day, when someone steps in from our justice system, we will see each other again. We can hold each other, smile together, and go through life making you and happy memories together. I want you to know that I look forward to that day. You will grow up and realize what happened. And I will show you all the facts. I have never been scared because I know that the truth always prevails.

"Every day, cherish each and every moment with your little ones because you never know what life brings. Hold them close. I wish that one day I get to feel the same way again."

I will always be here for you. No matter how far away it may seem, waiting for you. Till then, remember these moments. I want you to know how much I miss and love you with all my heart. You will always be my number one, Connor.

To all the mothers out there. I wish you a very Happy Mother's Day. Every day, cherish each and every moment with your little ones because you never know what life brings. Hold them close. I wish that one day I get to feel the same way again."

What parents say

Celebrity parents like Maricar de Mesa left encouraging words for Maggie, saying, No child should be taken away from their mother."

Mikaela Martinez expressed her supporting, saying, "Crying so much. Sending you the biggest hugs."

A concerned netizen meanwhile responded Maggie's call, saying, "Not fair!!!!!!!!!!! A minor child should be with his mother. Oh mama, my heart goes out to you. I swear to go out of my way if i bump into your son somewhere. Be strong mama!!"

Parents in the Smart Parenting community shared their thoughts as well, especially about Maggie and Connor's heartbreaking situation.

"As a mom, my stand will always be the same. With or without separation involved, a child deserves to spend time with his mom or dad. Co-parenting is the key," said Mommy V.

Mommy G meanwhile said, "I pray that they may find within themselves a way to resolve everything for the sake of the kids."

Last month, Maggie's ex-husband released a photo on social media that shows her alleged partner and a baby.

Daddy E expressed concern about the impact of this move on their child, saying, "I think it's very unhealthy for their child. Eventually, their son will be able to dig it up and see and read and watch how they treat each other."

As a dad, he believed it was better to keep marital conflicts private and not involve a lot of people for the sake of the child.

Finally, Mommy L, expressed her hope for peace, saying, "I just hope that in the end, they will all get the peace they long for. For Victor, for Maggie, and for Connor."
