She began her story by writing, "I watched my 4-year-old remove the cap of a black pen, and my heart skipped a beat as he brought the felt tip close to a small piece of paper on my sheets."

"My knee-jerk reaction would have been to shout for him to stop. Thank goodness for all my self-work, I calmly asked him if he wanted to 'maybe do that on the desk 3 steps away?' He said 'no thanks!' and quickly scribbled this perfectly inside the small square before handing it to me," she said, referring to the note Vito gave her, which says "I love you."

"Even if he had gotten ink all over my sheets, with a note like this, I really wouldn’t have cared," Saab concluded.

The mom of two’s reaction highlights her thoughtful parenting approach, showing how a gentle response can lead to positive outcomes and create cherished memories with her children.
