Classes have officially started, but somehow it doesn't feel like it as moms and their kids continue to stay at home because of COVID-19.
Even before the first day of school, moms have already prepared DIY learning materials for their children. In fact, right after the Department of Education announced that classes will be online this year, moms have already made efforts to create busy book and flash cards for their kids.
They've also started remodeling parts of their home to setup their children's makeshift classroom.
The result? Homey and inviting learning spaces and engaging educational materials for a fraction of the cost if they ordered it online.
The creativity and resourcefulness of moms is endless especially when it comes to their children's needs. Moms from our online community, the Smart Parenting Village, often send us samples of their DIY creations.
Some use felt, while some use cartolina. Some preserve their learning materials in clear books, while some use laminators. The moms also have helpful tips, like using an iron instead, if they do not have a laminator.
