Judy Ann Santos has been preparing her eldest daughter Yohan for college life.
The actress and mom of three shared video updates on Instagram. She's acquainting Yohan how to ride public transport.
"Jeep ride para sa aming kolehiyala," Judy Ann wrote in her video update, where they were riding an e-jeepney.
After their jeepney ride, they took a bus next. "Nagjeep, naglakad, next natin, mag-bu-bus tayo anak," said Juday.
Juday explained in the caption, "Next in line, bus transpo. Bakit? Dapat alam lahat ng klaseng transportasyon pauwi at papunta..." She added in jest, "Tapos jujitsu training."
Her husband, Ryan Agoncillo, approves, "Yaaaan! Survival skills! Sagot ko na yung bus ride hanggang bahay!"
Yohan finished her senior high school last June 6.

Teaching kids to stay safe on public transport
We are taking a cue from Juday that parents should teach their kids about public transport.
Their commuting skills will come in handy when they are older. Experts say, acquainting your children about public transport options early on will help establish good practices. This will also make both of you more confident on the road.
1. Use GPS trackers
If it's your child's first time commuting on their own, having a GPS tracker would help with the transition until they become confident. Parents recommend using Apple AirTag for Apple users, or watches that have GPS.
2. Memorize a phone number
In case of an emergency when their phone is unavailable to use, it helps if the student has memorized their parent's contact number.
3. Ask for help
If they are feeling uncomfortable or unsafe, teach them where to ask for help, either from a police officer or a public transport staff.

4. Teach your child self-defense
Enrolling your child in a self-defense class or combat sports would help a lot, so Juday is not kidding.
