Melissa Ricks announced on her Instagram that she is pregnant with her first child with her non-showbiz husband, Michael Macatangay.
The Star Circle Quest alumna shared a reel on August 25 showing a prenatal check-up, together with Michael and her 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, Kiera.
"When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen," Melissa wrote in the caption, quoting the verse Isaiah 60:22.
Her friends and followers cannot help but celebrate with her, including Gretchen Fullido, who said "Finally!"
Her Star Circle Quest batchmates Joross Gamboa and Hero Angeles also congratulated her.

Today, August 26, Melissa shared maternity snaps with her husband and revealed that she is 16 weeks pregnant.
Her followers also guessed their baby's gender, saying that she was having a boy this time.
Around this time two years ago, Melissa got engaged to Michael in an intimate surprise proposal in Batangas witnessed by family and friends. Gretchen was the one who broke the news.

The two tied the knot in California in May 2021. The actress revealed that Michael was her "answered prayer."

She said, "During the lowest part of my life, I met Michael. I sailed over oceans, over seas, climbing mountains just trying to find this certain peace. I was broken. But my faith brought me to where he was.
"When I gave up and surrendered all to God, He gave me the desires of my heart in the most unexpected circumstances. I lost battles, but I won hope. In my heartache, I found home."
Melissa raised Kiera as a single mom before she met her husband. She revealed that while she struggled as a solo parent, she doesn't regret not getting married to her ex-boyfriend Charles Togesaki.

"For me, I took that choice of leaving and letting it go because I thought it was best for me and my daughter," she said in an interview with Kimi Lu via Instagram Live.
"Sabi ko, 'Lord, bigyan mo ako ng sign' because I'm not the kind of person who will quit agad-agad.
"I would always think na hindi naman ako pababayaan ni Lord in this situation. He put me in this situation for a reason.
"And He will do whatever He can to help me in it and to get me out of a bad situation if that's bad. Everything happens for a reason."
