7 Reasons To Be Excited About Being Pregnant In DecemberIndeed, it’s the most wonderful time of the year!by Kate Borbon .
Pregnancy is one of the most memorable and remarkable times in a woman’s life. This is true regardless of the time of year, but being pregnant in December might have some special quirks. Maybe it’s that the Christmas month is always full of excitement and joy, or that it’s a wonderful time to be with the people you love most.
Here are seven reasons why being pregnant in December is so exciting
1. People are in good cheer.
In general, people are happier during the holidays — maybe because they’re getting a few days off from work or school, or looking forward to some family time, or enjoying all those yummy Christmas meals. Those cheerful feelings can also make people nicer, so it’s much easier for you to feel happier as well!
2. You can expect holiday presents for your little one.
Even without a baby shower, Christmas is a great time to encourage your loved ones to give you presents you can use when your baby is born, from baby clothes to milk bottles to other essentials you might need.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
3. You have an excuse to not host parties.
Another common tradition in our country is having friends and family come over to our homes to hang out and, of course, eat. However, it can be trickier to take charge of social events when you’re pregnant, especially if you experience symptoms like tiredness, nausea, or moodiness.
4. You get to eat whatever you want!
Christmas is the perfect excuse to eat to your heart’s delight, both for expectant ladies and everyone else! Sure, there are some foods and drinks you’ll have to avoid, and it’s still important to eat as healthy as you can, but it’s still a great time to have a feast.
5. You’re surrounded by your loved ones.
As Romper writes, “Family gatherings might take on more meaning when you’re pregnant.” All these people who love you will want to do their bit to dote on you and your baby — and what could be better than that?ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
6. It’s the perfect opportunity to take cute photos.
Not that we Pinoys ever pass up the opportunity for a photo op, but we all know that no Christmas is complete without a lot of pictures! Just go online and you’ll find plenty of inspiration for your maternity shoot and ideas for how to give it a Yuletide twist. Those images will serve as incredible memorabilia from that magical period of your life.
7. It’s a great time to rock your baby bump.
