Celebrity mom Sunshine Cruz lives up to her name by giving off a fresh and youthful glow with her looks and OOTDs. And even when a netizen recently tried to rain on her parade, she still radiated with kindness.
On March 16, 2022, the mom of three shared a Tiktok video where she dances her heart out to the tune of "Give It Up." Sunshine said she finds dance challenges on Tiktok helpful to squeeze in some exercise after doing household chores.
"This is me after doing errands at home. Tiktok can also be a form of exercise sa mga mommies like me," she wrote in her caption.
She adds, "Salamat sa aking mga anak for introducing me to TikTok."
But despite the feel-good vibes of the video, one netizen still left an unnecessary criticism about her outfit.
"Katanda na ang attire parang teenager," the basher said about Sunshine's crop top and jogging shorts.

"Kailangan po ba ang attire ko like yours para masabing tama ang suot? I don't think may chart ang attire according to age," Sunshine points out.
She adds, "Basta happy at confident, go lang po. Walang bawal at masama."
In a separate Facebook post, the actress also motivated other women never to let others' judgments dictate what they can or cannot wear.
"Ladies! Wear clothes that make you happy and feel pretty. That's all that matters," she wrote in her post.
Sunshine is no stranger to pushing back beliefs that police women's bodies through their fashion choices. In 2020, the celebrity mom called out netizens who left toxic comments about how she and her daughters dress up. (Read related article here)
"Do not blame women for the choice of clothes they wear. Believe me, kahit nakabalot o gown pa kami sa beach may mga bastos pa din. Never blame women rather blame yourself dahil kahit pinagaral kayo ng mga magulang mo, lumaki parin kayong bastos at manyak," Sunshine noted.

Moms can and deserve to feel confident in their bodies
In our Facebook community, Smart Parenting Village, we've read about moms sharing their struggle on looking like a 'losyang' or losing confidence about how they look after giving birth.
Whether we admit it or not, society has reinforced the belief that as a mom, women should dedicate their whole lives to motherhood to the point that self-care is considered selfish.
But this should not be the case. Moms can spend the day at the spa, have their hair and nails done, or even wear trendy clothes. Motherhood should not deprive women to still have their own individuality.
Aside from knowing what your kids' needs are, part of being a smart parent is looking after yourself. Remember, when you look and feel good, you also become a good role model to your child and teach them the value of self-love.
Read how you can break loose from the 'losyang' trap here.
