Pause and Reflect: Recollections and Retreats for Lent 2017

With Holy Thursday just a few weeks away (April 13), attending a Lenten recollection or retreat is a great way to look within one’s heart and refresh one’s soul, especially if you’re a Christian. So here is a list of retreat/recollection schedules to help you out:

1. Intensive Contemplative Experience in Lent (ICEL) 
Date: March 30 to April 2, 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Details: The Intensive Contemplative Retreat is a three-day intensive practice of contemplative prayer. It will be enhanced with the intensity and length of the sitting practice that helps make contemplation a habit and a way of life.

2. Lenten Recollection 2017

Venue: Saint Dominic Chapel, UST Center for Campus Ministry, 3rd Floor UST Tan Yan Kee Student Center, University of Santo Tomas
Details: The recollection is an annual event organized by the UST Center for Campus Ministry. This year’s recollection bears the theme “The Word Is a Gift, Others Are a Gift.”

3. Pathways North Quezon City Lenten Recollection
Date: April 4, Tuesday, 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.
Venue: TechnoPortal Conference Room A, U.P. TechnoHub, Diliman, Quezon City
Details: Pathways is a Catholic Charismatic community that “conducts weekly prayer meetings where God meets you where you are,” according to their Facebook page. This Lenten Recollection they’re organizing is open to all.

4. Come, Listen, Live! (Isaiah 55:3): A Lenten Recollection
Date: April 8, Saturday, 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Venue: Verbum Dei Apostolate Center, Elpido Santos corner Market Avenue, Palatiw, Pasig
Details: This is a whole-day recollection organized by the Verbum Dei Missionary Family, “a Catholic missionary community composed of consecrated men, women, couples, and lay disciples at the service of the Word of God.”

5. Vacation With the Lord: Holy Week Retreat 2017
Date: April 7 to April 16* 
Venue: Participants can choose from 3 venues: Mirador Jesuit Villa, Baguio City; Horacio Dela Costa Formation Center & Retreat House, Trece Martires City; or Betania Retreat House, Tagaytay City
Details: This is a retreat for people who wish to reconnect with themselves and their God in the midst of all the busyness we face every day. 6. Intergenerational Lenten Retreat

Details: The Intergenerational Healing Retreat Seminar will be conducted by the Healing Missionaries of the Holy Spirit. 8. Shine Forth! A “Live Out” Holy Week Retreat by Bo Sanchez
Date: April 13 (Holy Thursday) and April 14 (Good Friday), 8.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon. Culminates with the Grand Easter Feast on April 16 (Easter Sunday) - two sessions (8 a.m.-12 noon and 2 p.m.-6 p.m.)

10. Holy Week Triduum Retreat

Details: The Center for Ignatian Spirituality (CIS Phil) invites you to come away and experience individually guided days of prayer based on the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola in this solemn Holy Week Retreat.
