Jolina Magdangal Fulfills Childhood Car Camping Fantasy, Turns It Into A Family Affair

Dreams really do come true, even if it takes years. Take it from Jolina Magdangal.

The 43-year-old actress, TV host, and mom of two recently took to Instagram to share how she has fulfilled a childhood fantasy.

She wrote in the caption of one of her posts about her accomplishment: "Tagal ko na gustong mag camping. I remember nung bata ako sa kwarto namin kunyari nasa camping ako. 'Tapos lagi ako naa-amaze sa mga tent na nasa taas ng sasakyan."

Jolina was referring to car camping, whose "more widely accepted definition of car camping is to camp at a location where you can drive your car."

She said in reflection, "I never thought na dadating yung time na magagawa ko ito but yes, nagawa ko na!"

Jolina went on expressing her gratitude to her husband Mark Escueta, who accompanied her along with their two children.

"Thank you sa asawa ko for making it happen," she said. "At mas sumaya ako kasi nakita ko na nag enjoy sina Pele at Vika. May nadagdag na ulit sa kanilang collection of happy memories."

The Magandang Buhay host had this observation: "Masaya din pag madami kayo, may tulungan at madami din kwentuhan."

She then broached an idea to her friend and colleague Nikki Valdez, who joined the camping trip with husband Luis Garcia: "Isip pa tayo ng mapupuntahan at yayain ang iba nating family friends."

Jolina's call to more camping trips included those who are "mga expert sa camping namin na friends na maalam sa mga pwedeng gamitin sa camping."

She ended her post with this assurance: "Basta rain or shine tuloy tayo!"

Prior to the Magdangal-Escueta family car camping, Mark and Pele had gone to their "first Father & Son Camping trip," which Mark also describes in one of his posts as a "very memorable milestone."

He wrote in the caption, "Nakakatuwa si Pele kasi nagdala siya ng seeds at nagtanim siya sa paligid ng Camp. Nag pulot din siya ng kahit anong maliliit na trash na makita niya. Tuloy, binigyan nila siya ng coconut seedling at ipapangalan daw sa kanya."
