How celebrity moms help enhance their kids' brain developmental milestones

Solenn Heussaff on enhancing Tili's language skills

Solenn's eldest daughter Tili can speak at least three languages: English, French, and Spanish. The actress-host-artist revealed, "We make sure to stick to one language per parent. So Nico only speaks Spanish to her. I usually only speak French, but I've been mixing a bit of English, and then, of course, in school, she has English."

What's important though, is teaching Tili how to communicate effectively, "So it's not just about the languages she speaks, but it's about how she communicates with people, how she can also tell us how she feels. So we make sure to always explain to her that her thoughts are important. We make sure she meets different people as well and befriends different people. So she speaks with us, and then we have the help at home. She also makes friends with the taho vendor!"

Solenn also shared the importance of being a present parent, especially at a time when our kids are exposed to gadgets "You can play memory cards or even just with plastic cups. I put mongo or any bean, and then I mix them around and then make her remember where it was or ask her where it was. We do lots of small games like that that don't have to be anything fancy, but you just make sure that, you know, you keep training their brain and you keep doing different things daily and not just stick to one activity."

Georgina Wilson on improving Alfie's memory skills

Like Solenn, Georgina likes to use flashcards to help improve her son Alfie's memory skills. "It's really important that Alfie learns Filipino for me, so we have Filipino flashcards, and he loves that. His favorite is the carabao."

And since Alfie has shown interest in animals, Georgina also makes it a point to visit interactive areas where Alfie can learn, like aquariums. "He loves teaching me about the animals that he studied and that he loves. And so I think, doing active activities that engage their brain, it's really just making learning fun and engaging with them."

The mom of three also highlights the importance of exposing them to different environments, "I think the most important thing in a family is to make sure that learning is fun and it's an enjoyed value and thing that you do together."

"Also, with his siblings, he learns from his brother, and he learns from his sister, he learns from his parents, he learns from his aunties, like everyone around is so important. Every time, even when they were babies, every time I saw them travel, they'd pick up new skills. Their brain would just expand every time they saw something new. So that's still very important for me. For both of us."

Kryz Uy on sharpening Scottie's focus and problem-solving skills

For soon-to-be mama of three Kryz, she shared that she improves Scottie's mental skills by asking him questions and making sure that they make him feel heard.

"So even if his initial way to solve a problem isn't right, we'll let him experience it first and see for himself how it goes and how he can fix it by himself. So giving him a voice."

Like Solenn and Georgina, Kryz also recommends bringing kids to stimulating environments, like the Promil Gifted Brain Room. "I like to take him to the beach, I like to take him to simple places like the farm, where he can play with animals, all of these things to get him out of his little bubble at home and expose him to as many things as he can so that he'll have more knowledge on creative ways of how to fix things and solve things."
