Yes, you read that right! Blippi visited the beautiful beaches of the Philippines. On March 6, 2023 Stevin John better known to kids and parents as beloved Blippi posted on his Instagram account a thank you note to the Philippines plus photos of him vacationing in our islands.
“Thank you Philippines! We adventured thru the city of Manila, traveled to uninhabited islands on a multi night boat expedition, and experienced an extremely welcoming culture along the way, he wrote.
A quick look through his Instagram post reveals he indeed spent his time in the beach, drinking buko juice, climbing coconut trees, riding on a motorbike to see mountain ridges, taking a selfie at a sandbar and of course, riding a tricycle. Some social media users guessed that Stevin visited Palawan.
His last video shows a snippet of him sharing a light moment kids. Looks like even when he’s not dressed as his famous character Blippi, he is truly fond of kids!

Stevin received a number of comments from parents who were surprised to see their kids’ favorite in the country. Some even asked for a meet and greet.
“Gosh!!! Come back!!! Do a fan meet and greet! Meet my son please” wrote one parent.
Another wrote, “Omg! My son would give up all his excavators just to see you!”
“My kids are sad that they did not get a chance to meet you in person. But thank you for visting Philippines! Hope you had a great time,” wrote another parent.
It’s not just parents who were asking for a Blippi fan meet for the kids, even loving titas. “My nephew would’ve been psyched to see you had you made a quick visit to Cebu as Blippi.
“They don’t know who you are”
Comments from some social media users living outside of the Philippines said the kids in Stevin’s last video probably don’t know who Blippi is. “Those kids at the end have no clue who Blippi is”.
Of course Filipinos couldn’t help but set the record straight: we may have many provinces that is home to the beaches Stevin visited but there’s Internet and YouTube there too, thank you very much.
“I’m sure they’ve seen him on YouTube at one point. Lol. He’s not dressed as Blippi though,” one user replied.
Blippi is an American educational YouTube channel for kids two to six years old founded by Stevin John in 2014. It currently has 8 seasons.
Blippi has a number of episodes set in India, which may come as no surprise when reminded of the data that India has the most YouTube users in 2023 with an estimate of 467 million according to Global Media Insight.
Will we see a Blippi goes to Philippines episode, as some social media users requested? We can only hope!
