Days after giving birth, Coleen admitted to feeling the baby blues. She expected that postpartum recovery and breastfeeding would be challenging. Then, Coleen expressed that she wished to move around better and be stronger as soon as possible. Now that she’s up and about, the new mom sees herself “in a whole new light,” after going through pregnancy and childbirth.

The actress gave birth to Amari, on September 10, naturally via a water birth at home. Coleen only had her husband Billy Crawford, and a dedicated birth team to coach and assist her. Since then, she's been recovering and breastfeeding Amari on demand.
Her first "praning" moment as a mom happened when Amari had newborn acne. Coleen promptly asked her midwife, Ob-Gyn, and pediatrician, and they assured her that it's normal. She was able to resolve it with the help of breast milk .
“It’s been a tough few days, but also so incredibly rewarding,” Coleen said.
