Proud Mom! Ina Raymundo’s Son Makes It To Prestigious College Baseball Team In US

Ina Raymundo's son, Jakob Poturnak, is now a student athlete in the U.S.

In an Instagram post on November 15, 2021, Ina said Jakob will play in the US National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division 1 as a baseball player of Xavier University.

D1 or Division 1 consists of the largest schools in the NCAA that offer the most scholarships. It is considered to be the most competitive division with the best athletes and teams. 

 "After many years of hard work and dedication to baseball, my son is now officially a Xavier Musketeer," Ina wrote.

Ina considers this athletic feat as Jakob's "one of the best achievements in your life."

The celebrity mom also did not forget to give special mention to her husband, Brian Portunak, who has been a very supportive dad to Jakob.

"We are so proud of you. But of course, this wouldn’t be possible without the 101% support you get from your dad," Ina said.

Ina encourages kids to have hobbies

Aside from Jakob, Ina has 4 kids with Brian, Anika, Erika, Minka, and Miki. All of them are either into music, sports, or the arts. 

If Jakob is into baseball, Ina's eldest, Erika, is into music. Erika recently flew to the U.S. to start college at Berklee College of Music. Middle child Miki, draws and writes comic books. The last two, Anika and Minka are both budding pianists.

Ina admits she also struggles to keep her kids away from gadgets but she is determined to guide them into discovering what their passion may be and later on excel on it.

"For young parents out there, pls try your best to limit your children’s screen time. It really is a big distraction for your child to learn something else. Do it while they are still young," Ina said in a previous post.
