It’s a baby girl for the Arellanos!
On November 2, the adorable family of six (soon-to-be-seven) posted a gender reveal of their new addition on Instagram.
“A different kind of gender reveal,” wrote celebrity mom Iya Villania-Arellano in her post. “Initially I just wanted to wait until delivery but Primo wanted to know gender and, well, I didn't want to rock up to a regular ultrasound and have an anti-climactic reveal by accidentally seeing a [eggplant, laughing emojis],” she explained.
The video begins with Iya and her husband, host and fellow celebrity, Drew Arellano, discovering the new baby’s gender before they shared it with their kids. “Okay, we’re gonna find out the gender but the challenge is, no one’s gonna react because the main reveal will be for the kids,” Iya said.
Iya emphasized that while she wants to have another baby girl, a healthy baby is what matters most, “Of course, the idea of having a sister for Duday would be so nice. It would be nice but you know at the end of the day, as long as we have a healthy baby, that’s what really matters.”
The scene then shifts to the couple with their kids: Primo (8), Leon (6), Alana (4), and Astro (2).
It’s A Girl!
Iya and Drew used cake pops to reveal their new sibling’s gender to the kids. “If it’s color pink, it’s a girl. But if it’s color blue, it’s a boy,” Iya explained to them.
As the kids munched into their cake pops (also, how cute is Leon trying his best to bite?), a pink-colored cake was revealed. “You guys are gonna have another sister!” Drew exclaimed.
Iya and Drew first announced that they were expecting baby number 5 on Instagram last September–with the family joyfully dancing to the tune of “Mambo Number 5.”
