Each pregnancy and birth changes a woman’s body. You can slim down to your pre-pregnancy weight, but it’s not exactly the same. After two kids, former actress Jewel Mische is embracing everything about her “mombod” and hopes others will accept the new selves as well.
“A lot of women are scared or even repulsed by all the changes that take place in your body during and after pregnancy,” the mom of two wrote on Instagram.
“But we have a choice to either fixate on the ‘flaws’ or appreciate it for being such an incredible vessel,” Jewel stressed.
“I have more ‘curves, lumps, bumps’ and that extra squish! But I love my post-baby body so much,” Jewel exclaimed.
The mom of two’s words was accompanied by a photo of herself in from of the mirror. Jewel wore a long-sleeved, body-hugging cropped top and leggings. Her postpartum tummy, while already relatively flat just a month after giving birth, shows a little bit of loose skin, new curves in unusual places, and maybe even a few stretch marks.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

She then listed down the fantastic feats she can do as a woman and as a mother. “Grow a tiny human from scratch? Done. Endure hours of excruciating labor to push it out? Watch me,” Jewel shared. She could even concoct a “one-of-a-kind milk recipe packed with all the nutrients my child needs” in her sleep.CONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos

Jewel is on full-on mommy mode since she gave birth a second time. She’s been diapering, breastfeeding, and not having a lot of sleep while trying to recover from childbirth and caring for her toddler daughter, Aislah, who’s turning 2 in July.
“But having my husband ‘stuck’ with us [at home] also makes a world of difference,” she added. Thank, God, for hands-on dads!
