Not all mothers feel pure joy on Mother's Day. On May 12, former beauty queen and mom-of-one Maggie Wilson pens a heartfelt message on her Instagram account.
“It’s been almost two years since I last held him [Maggie's son] and 494 days since we last spoke. I’ve missed 2 birthdays, 2 Christmas’, [sic] 2 New Year’s celebrations and countless milestones. There is nothing more painful than the loss of a child who I know is growing up without me.”
Maggie shares a son with Victor Consunji. The two were married in December 18, 2010 and announced their split in September 2021, after a decade of marriage.
She continued her message, “You may have noticed that I’ve been posting less about him. It’s because I received a notice for a Protection Order for sharing images and videos of my own son on social media. To stop me from seeing or speaking to him until he is an adult.”
Along with photos of Maggie and Connor together taken on Mother’s Day 2022, Maggie reflected on motherhood. “I am a mother but I have been robbed of being able to be a mother. Nonetheless, I will always be his mommy and that is something no one, not even time can erase. You are always with me Connor. Forever in my heart, in my mind, and in my prayers. One day bubbah. Our time will come. I will never lose hope. I love you and miss you dearly my little man.”
Lastly, Maggie addresses all mothers, whom she knows understands how she’s feeling. “To all the mothers who understand the complexities of love and loss, may this day bring a gentle reminder of the enduring bond that transcends time and space. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, near and far, who carry their children in their hearts, today and always.”

Amid Maggie’s heartbreaking message on Mother’s Day, celebrity and beauty queen friends encouraged and reassured her.
Former beauty queen and mother of three Lara Quigaman shared a beautiful reminder to Maggie’s message, “You will always be Connor’s mommy, happy mother’s day Maggie”
Bianca Lapus, mom of four, also shares in the comment section, “Happy Mother's day Maggie. I pray to God that one day you will be reunited with Connor. May he protect all the love and memories you have for each other until the day you get to hug him again.”
Beauty queen Sandra Lemonon said, “Love you so much mama, here for you.”
Former actress Bunny Paras also shared, “Hugs @wilsonmaggie I can’t imagine how much you miss him. Praying for you all.”
