According to the show’s official website, PAW Patrol follows a pack of pups named Marshall, Chase, Everest, Rocky, Rubble, Skye, Tracker, and Zuma who are rescue dogs-in-training. Each pup is inspired by real-life jobs like firefighter and police officer, and whenever anyone in their community of Adventure Bay needs help, they are always ready to provide their assistance. It was recently renewed for an eighth season, saysDeadline.
The show broke the news on its official Instagram page over the weekend, writing, “From the small screen to the BIG screen, the moment you have been waiting for (and asking for) is finally here!”
Deadlinereports that the film, called PAW Patrol: The Movie, is to be directed by Cal Brunker and is planned to premiere in August 2021.
It will be produced by Spin Master Corp in association with Nickelodeon Movies and is the first in a lineup of feature films to be created by Spin Master’s Entertainment division. It will be distributed by Paramount Pictures.
According toDeadline, Brian Robbins, President of Kids & Family Entertainment at ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks, said in a press release, “Expanding PAW Patrol into the world of theatricals is a major milestone for this iconic property, and we can’t wait for kids and families everywhere to experience it.
