Rachel Peters's Toddler Gets Into A 'Freak Accident' While On A Family Trip In Japan

Rachel Peters and her husband Migz Villafuerte's recent family trip to Japan turned out to be less than perfect because of an accident involving their toddler daughter Kaia.

The beauty pageant queen, who represented the Philippines in Miss Universe 2017, recounted what had happened and how her child is doing now in a series of Instagram Stories posts.

Rachel recalled that Kaia "got a pretty nasty burn on her hand from pulling hot tea off a table." She pointed out that it was "a freak accident" that turned out to be "a big learning experience for all of us."

She said in reflection, "Such a horrible start to a trip but we're so thankful for all the nurses and doctors in Japan who were so sweet to her every day."

Upon arrival in the Philippines, Rachel apparently brought Kaia straight to the hospital for what seems a futher medical procedure.

She explained, "Straight to the hospital a full on day of traveling! She had to fast before her procedure and woke up from it all at 3 am smiling."

She went on commenting on how her daughter took it all in: "Couldn't be more proud of how brave she's been through this whole ordeal."

Rachel then shared a photo of a smiling Kaia while lying in hospital bed to show how the toddler is currently doing. Next came a video of them dancing with Kaia still in her hospital gown.

The soon-to-be mom-of-two (read here) said the video was taken just five minutes after her panganay underwent the procedure. She couldn't help marvelling at the little girl's energy and optimism, thus saying "I hope you stay this happy forever."
