Every Filipino 90’s kid would be familiar with the classic “tooth hack” parents would offer or threaten when their children complain about their wriggling tooth: “Talian ng pisi ang ngipin, tie the other end sa door, and isara para mabunot nang mabilis.”
Well, said tooth hack is very much alive and well these days, and daddy Ryan Agoncillo just did it with his daughter, Luna.
In a video posted in Instagram, Ryan can be seen tying a dental floss to Luna’s tooth while she sits on her mom, Judy Ann Santos’ lap. With one swift move, the tooth is out! Ryan’s caption humorously declares, “Parental dentistry: check (ticked checkbox).”

Comments on the post applauded Ryan. Judy Ann chimed in with a proud, “good job, Daddy!”
Actress and mom Angelica Panganiban exclaimed, “Ay alam ko na kung san ko dadalhin si Bean sa mga darating na taon [clapping hands emoji].”
Actress and mom Ciara Sotto referred to the “tooth hack,” saying, “Yaaaaaaaas!!!! She told me it was moving yesterday and wanted to do the door thing hehe.” Ryan explained the absence of the door in their case, saying, “Kami din, kaso shokot kami pareho ni mommy sa pinto [lol emoji].”
Luna’s 8th
Luna, the youngest daughter of Ryan and Judy, joyfully celebrated her 8th birthday last January 8. Judy Ann shared highlights of her celebration in her Instagram, with the caption:
“Our little ball of sunshine is now 8! Celebrated her birthday with a few of her closest friends and relatives, doing what she loves most, crafting! [hearts emoji] Oh my love, you continue to make us proud and smile everyday, you never fail to ask the most curious questions (buti na lang madalas katabi natin si daddy to answer you correctly [giggling emoji]), always willing to try out new things, always kind, always funny, but most of all, very loving [heart emoji]. Continue being you, we love you with all our hearts. Happy birthday my sweet sweet love.”
