In 2022, a study revealed that dads are more involved with their children’s lives than previous generations. The study indicated that dads spend more time with their children doing DIY activities, sharing in baby care such as changing diapers, and participating in morning and bedtime routines. Some even decide to become stay-at-home fathers.
Gone are the days when fathers were solely providers who worked to support the family, Dads nowadays are much more than that.
This shift was exemplified by brothers-in-law Erwan Heussaff and Nico Bolzico, who took their daughters Dahlia and Tili on a memorable father-daughter trip abroad!

Erwan and Nico, bonded by law and friendship, have redefined the father-daughter relationship. Both have been actively involved in their daughters’ lives from the moment they became fathers.
In a past event, Nico shared that he has been responsible for Tili’s bath times since her birth. He has been doing this for over four years and also picks her up from school. In 2022, the father-daughter duo made waves on social media when they traveled to Argentina alone. The #TiliElPadreSoloTrip included a long-haul flight–36 hours of plane rides and layovers with a toddler in tow. El Padre ‘survived’ and created memorable memories with Tili and their relatives in Argentina.
Erwan, a content creator, foodie and a chef, regularly shares how he involves his daughter Dahlia in breakfast preparation. Together, they cook eggs, pancakes, and waffles. Erwan even purchased a Mickey-Mouse-shaped waffle maker for his daughter!
Both Dads shared moments from their recent #TiliDahliDadsTrip on their Instagram accounts. Moms Anne Curtis and Solenn Heusaff were not present, as it was an exclusive father-and-daughter trip.
Anne Curtis commented on Erwann’s IG reel, “Major FOMO!”
Netizens guessed their location, with one suggesting, “Did you go here in Quebec?” Nico playfully answered, “Or still here?” Most guesses were Canada, largely because of the snowy landscapes and the famous Canadian poutine!
Wherever they were, we are sure that they had a great time!
Creating lasting memories
The #TiliDahliDadsTrip was not the usual trip abroad filled with the magic of amusement parks or bustling cities. It was special because it highlighted how they seem to have enjoyed the ordinary, little things.
Nico shared a reel of Tili blowing a dandelion, writing, “Quick reminder, that life is simpler than we think. All we need is nature and our loved ones. And yes Tili has a special technique to blow the dandelions. And yes, those flowers are called dandelions!”

The picturesque backdrop of the snowy mountain, the fields filled with flowers, and Tili blowing the dandelions–it’s a simple yet immense source of joy.
Erwan’s reel showcased how they found joy and fun in simple things: from waiting around the airport, trekking mountains and seeing rivers, to playing on the swing, riding the tractor, watching the kids run in the fields, spending time with loved ones, and experiencing snowboarding adventure.

Erwan and Nico continue to debunk the popular notion that traveling with young kids is difficult. Maybe it’s still challenging, but the joy and memories they create are far more valuable than any difficulty they encounter.
