This Is What Paolo Valenciano Realized While Changing His Newborn Son's Diaper

On February 3, 2023, Paolo Valenciano and his wife Samantha Godinez became parents to a baby boy they've named Luciano Mikael six years after having their daughter Nataleia Martine (read here).

Since then, Paolo has been trying to figure out "how to boydad" as he'd been used to taking care a baby girl. That's why he's been taking note of advice and warnings he gets from people around him who are parents of boys.

"They warned me about boys peeing while being changed," the popular director of concerts said in one of his Instagram posts, "but I thought it was all exaggeration."

He then shared a recent experience: "It finally happened!!!!!! I just realised it’s like having a loaded gun shooting you in the face, point-blank. I learned a lot in 8 seconds." He used the hashtag #ItsKindaSalty to describe the bodily fluid.

Many of Paolo's friends and followers were able to relate to his experience, thus they gave him some pointers.

Iconic singer Martin Nievera, also a career contemporary and close friend of Paolo's father Gary Valenciano commented: "Adorable!"

The father of three grown sons added, "But the one you need to be careful about is the kissing kissing around the chin and lips area after a full meal. When you see his eyes look like a poster for the movie, 'Avatar,' and he starts smacking his lips, this means he is locked and loaded.

"Then boom! You get a taste of what he ate hours maybe even minutes before! Believe me I know! It has happened to me. I won’t say which son. Although he plays a mean guitar…"

TV host Iya Villania, who has three sons and one daughter, commented with laughter: "Hahahaa! It’s always like a time trial changing a boys diaper."

Model and lifestyle blogger Kelly Misa, herself a mom of a seven-year-old son commented, "Always use part of the diaper as a shield while cleaning up / changing diapers haha! There is also projectile poop so watch out for that."

Paolo's wife Samantha also commented, but only as a reply to another comment. She wrote, using her Instagram handle yosameti, that she's been telling her husband "to cover that with wipes as soon as he takes out the diapers."
